Peak Hill Central School

Last modified: July 5, 2006 - 4:01 PM

Peak Hill Central School caters for approximately 260 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Provision is made for the enrolment of mature age students in senior courses. Our students exhibit a strong community spirit, which is enhanced by the strong community involvement in the school. Our total school community has worked together to develop Mission, Vision, Core belief and Exit Outcome Statements which are designed to guide our progress in to the next century. Visit Peak Hill Central School Web Site

Our school is a leader in the state in the development of a cooperative inter-racial educational environment. Support is offered through the activities of such groups as the Parents & Citizens' Association and Aboriginal Student Support and Parent Awareness Committee. Our experienced and dedicated staff members are committed to ensuring that our students receive the best possible educational opportunities. Small secondary class sizes ensure that students receive individual attention from teachers. Our students are offered a wide and varied range of subjects choices. In senior years, an extensive curriculum is offered through our involvement in such programs as the Access Program and Joint Secondary Schools TAFE program. We cater for students of all abilities. Matriculation HSC courses are offered for those who wish to continue with tertiary studies. We have a proud tradition of combining academic success with success in sports and a range of other extra-curricular activities. Students from Peak Hill have competed at Region and at State levels in such sports as cross-country, soccer, baseball, cricket and swimming.
