A Contemporary World Jazz Experience
Presented by the Mitchell Conservatorium of Music, the event will kick of with a performance by the Mitchell Conservatorium band followed by the contemporary jazz sounds of Judy Campbell's MOSAIC.
Bring a blanket or chair and sit back and relax and enjoy the performance and atomosphere in the Park. Tickets are just $15.00 each or $10.00 for Concession holders. You are welcome to bring along your own food hampers and beverages.

| Parkes Annual Christmas Parade & Carnival - 04 Dec 2009
The countdown is on to Christmas and the Parkes Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club of Parkes are well underway with plans for the annual Street Parade and Carnival.
The community event will take place on Friday 4 December with the Street Parade kicking off at 6.15pm and the Carnival in Cooke Park to directly follow.
Businesses and community groups are encouraged to enter a float in this year's parade which will begin in Clarinda Street at Cunninghams IGA. Prizes are on offer for 'Best Dressed Float' so get out the tinsel and ribbon and start getting creative.
After the parade, the fun will continue in Cooke Park with a range of stalls and amusements to keep the whole family entertained. Come along and enjoy the cool surrounding of the grounds and carnival atmosphere where there will be children's amusements, arts and crafts, chocolate wheels with great prizes and a large selection of food and drinks available. There will also be fun competitions including the 'Meals on Wheels Christmas Pudding Cook Off' and the 'Best Decorated Christmas Gumboot'.
The Christmas Street Parade and Carnival in the Park is a community event for the people of Parkes and surrounding districts to celebrate the festive season and support the many charity, community and service clubs within our Shire. Bring the family for a great night out and get in the Christmas spirit at the Parkes Christmas Carnival in the Park.
You can pick up entry forms for the Street Parade from Hall Jewellers, and stall holders who would like to book a site in Cooke Park can contact Chris McQuie on 02 6862 1022 during business hours or download an application form below. more .. |
