Northparkes GP Cup

An ongoing community issue is the limited number of doctors within the Parkes Shire. The doctors we have work extremely hard to deliver a vital service to our region, which we all rely on for the health and well being of our partners, children, loved ones and friends.

The Northparkes GP Cup aims to raise over $20,000 with local business and community support, to combat the shortage of doctors and services in the region.

The event will be held on Saturday 26th Septemberand will be a fun, social sporting competition with mixed teams competing in five different sports including Mixed Soccer, Mixed Touch Football, Mixed Netball, Lawn Bowls and a Mystery Sport. The winner will be presented with coveted inaugural Norhparkes GP Cup Shield.

The Northparkes GP Cup hopes to attract at least 20 teams to participate who will require $1,000 sponsorship to enter the competition. If teams cannot secure a sponsor the GP Working Group will help source a sponsor for them. Sponsoring as a syndicate is also welcome.

Teams are encouraged to supply their own uniforms with creativity in mind!

After the bowls, a presentation will take place at the Parkes Bowling & Sports Club where other prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed Team, Best Dressed Spectator and Most Original Team Name and the Play of the Day
