Countrylink Parkes Elvis Festival

Planning is underway for the 2010 Countrylink Parkes Elvis Festival.

The Countrylink Parkes Elvis Festival has become so popular, it now attracts over 9,500 people (significant, given Parkes' population of 11,000).

In 2010 you can expect all the usual favourites, such as the street parade, Feature Concerts, outdoor entertainment, busking, the Elvis Gospel Church Service, look-a-like, sound-a-like and move-a-like contests, Miss Priscilla dinner, Elvis Poets Breakfast, the CountryLink Elvis Express Train and so much more.

As you can imagine, accommodation is at an absolute premium - with commercial Hotels, Motels, and Caravan Parks in Parkes all heavily booked.

There are still camp grounds available (including for motorhomes & caravans).  

'Gracelands on the Green' sees the Northparkes Sporting Complex becomes a tent village - where all the hard work is done for you and the gear provided.  Check out the Tent City Hire Website for more details and to book your tent.  Tents come complete with flooring, lighting and stretcher beds.
