You’re invited to volunteer
It’s a great way to give something back to your community.
Parkes Shire Council manages a wide range of services, facilities and programs that deliver a great variety of benefits to the community and businesses.
Council strives to create opportunities for all sectors of the community to get involved in activities and events to create inclusiveness, learning and skill development and on the job work experience to strengthen career direction and job readiness.
A great way to do this is opening up volunteer roles within events and functions that Council delivers on behalf of the community.
Volunteering can be a very rewarding experience. It is a great way to give something back to your community.
Council treats volunteers as employees, with a great focus on work health & safety and ensure that all volunteers are adequately trained and supported to deliver the requirements of their role. Council has adopted a volunteer policy which provides insight into how volunteers are managed within the organisation.
