Environmental Plans

State, regional and local environmental planning instruments indicate what level of assessment is required for development and who is responsible for assessing a development proposal. For most types of building, subdivision and demolition work, a Development Application (DA) is required to be submitted to Council for approval. In some cases the consent of Council may be required for the change of use of land or premises (eg when an existing shop is converted to a restaurant).

Regional Environmental Plan
