The Carrington Hotel in Peak Hill was one of eight projects funded in the third round of the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities (SCCF).

By way of history, the building was heavily impacted by fire and Council has been undertaking alterations over the past several years to restore the building.

The scope of works for stage 3 of this project has been completed. This stage included the rehabilitation of the upstairs area and adjoining verandah space of the hotel, to enable the upstairs of this facility to become operational again to host events, meetings and community gatherings.

Works are now completed and Council are planning an official opening of the facility in the coming weeks.
