Community Financial Assistance, Leasing & Licencing applications now open
Parkes Shire Council has adopted in-principle a new Community Financial Assistance Policy and Leasing and Licencing Policy to come into effect on 01 July 2019. These new Policies will provide a fair, equitable and transparent process for the distribution of public money.
Council values the various cultural, community and sporting initiatives and events and acknowledges the contributions made by organisations to our community. As such, Council is willing to provide support where possible.
Council regularly receives requests for donations from organisations and individuals and as part of the new Policy, Council will be implementing a new application process for requests for financial assistance, including provision of funds for a specific purpose or event, waiving of fees and charges or reduced leases and licensing costs.
Applications will now be called for twice a year in March and in October. An application form will be required to be completed which will then be assessed by a Council Committee against an eligibility criteria. Successful applicants will also be required to acquit any funding received.
Call for applications for the first round are now open until close of business Friday 05 April.
