The Local Government Act 1993 ("the Act") requires all councils to undertake long-term community and corporate planning and reporting activities using the Integrated Planning and Reporting ("IP&R") framework. The IP&R framework provides for the interrelationship between the Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program, Resourcing Strategy and annual Operational plans. According to the framework, these documents are required to be reviewed and updated by the incoming Council following an ordinary Local Government election.
The Strategic Asset Management Plan is a 10-year plan that accounts for, and plans, all existing assets under Council's control, as well as any new asset solutions proposed in the Community Strategic Plan and Delivery Program. As part of the Strategic Asset Management Plan, Council must prepare and adopt an Asset Management Policy, an Asset Management Strategy and Asset Management Plans for each class of assets to support the Community Strategic Plan and Delivery Program.
On Tuesday 17 May 2022, Council endorsed the Draft Strategic Asset Management Plan for public exhibition. We are now inviting the community to provide feedback on the Draft Draft Strategic Asset Management Plan.
To have your say, please review the Draft Strategic Asset Management Plan and share any comments you have via Council's Your Say Parkes engagement platform.
Alternatively, you can send your comments via email to email@example.com, or by mail to:

The public exhibition period will conclude close of business Tuesday 14 June 2022.
Council welcomes and encourages your feedback.
