Parkes Shire Council supports services that ensure animals and the community remain healthy, safe and live together harmoniously.

Council encourages owners to be responsible for their pets by undertaking some simple measures, including complying with the Companion Animals Act 1998 and ensuring animals are appropriately cared for and managed.
