Innovative Water Leak Detection

New technologies identifying leaks in our network save precious water.

The Active Water Leak Detection Program has been an innovative undertaking of Council in the past 12 months.

The program uses innovative technologies not used elsewhere in NSW to identify leaks in the water network.

Council’s program has been used as case study for the NSW Water Directorate for best practice in managing water utilities. Three different technologies have been piloted including sound technologies that have already proved successful in early detection of leaks.
