Education Training Schools

Learning is a lifelong work in progress.

Parkes Shire is proud of its young people and of its education system and the region is well equipped to deal with the educational needs of families who may relocate here. The first objective of the Parkes Shire Council Community Strategic Plan is to 'Develop Lifelong Learning Opportunities.'

Council's Library network provides a popular and effective early literacy program to promote reading and learning from any age. These initiatives include Rhyme Time and Story Time for babies through to pre-school age along with interactive school holiday programs and special events targeted at educating the youth of Parkes Shire such as Reading Day, ComicFest and Book Week. Assistance for students is also a focus of the Library with a Student Help program and quiet rooms for study.

For more information on educational programs offered by the Parkes Shire Library, visit the Park Shire Libraries section of our website.
