The Parkes National Logistics Hub Infrastructure Extension will deliver crucial service extensions to facilitate and enable developments to be undertaken in the area.
The project will deliver road upgrades, access, water, power (with new substations), gas and communications to four development sites within the Hub precinct.
This enabling infrastructure will reinforce the attractiveness of Parkes as a location for new industries including a major terminal for freight, manufacturing (include the new waste development) and hubs for logistics companies.
This project is vital to these developments and will additionally leverage the benefits of Inland Rail and the recently announced plans to develop Parkes as a Special Activation Precinct which have contributed to increased employment, relocation and visitation to the Parkes region.
Without these upgrades, current and prospective businesses, cannot commerce their operations - hindering their developments, as well as the flow on effects to the region and State.
Preliminary works commenced in May 2019.
The project is funded under the NSW Government's Restart NSW Fund.
