The Peak Hill Community Garden project was identified as a priority of the Peak Hill community and Council were successful in obtaining a $100,000 grant through the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities Fund to deliver the project.
This funding will support the development of the first of three stages planned for the establishment of a community garden for in the township of Peak Hill.
The garden will be established in a space between the existing library and external wall of the Carrington Hotel in the main street of Peak Hill. It is anticipated that in addition to the community garden, space will also be created for use by the library as a storytime/rhymetime/ performance area and a quiet area for reading and contemplation.
Works are expected to be completed by November 2021.
