Recycled Water Rising Main construction has commenced

Construction commenced on the Recycled Water Rising Main (RWRM) on Friday 30 November 2018, with the first purple pipes being laid along Akuna Road.

The works are being undertaken as Phase 2 of the Parkes Recycled Water Scheme. The works include the RWRM pipeline as well as the construction of pump stations and a reservoir.

The purple-pipeline scheme will deliver high quality recycled water to irrigate selected parks and sporting fields around town.

Early next year the works will progress across Nash Street and along Field Road, and continue along the RWRM route.

Residents who will be impacted by construction will be notified at least two weeks ahead of construction moving into their area.

Regular construction updates will be posted on Parkes Shire Council’s website under Public Notices.

Any enquires regarding the project can be directed to Council’s Project Management Office on 02 6861 2305 or
