Parkes Library Event Calendar

Embroiderers' Guild Exhibition

6 to 30 November, Parkes Library

It has become a tradition that an Embroiders Guild NSW, Parkes Branch, exhibition is on display at Parkes Library during November. This year the exhibition is going to feature Parkes Branch founding member Margaret Lewis' amazing range of embroidery and calligraphy works.

Kate Kelly: Sister of an Outlaw

7 - 18 November, Coventry Room

Rebecca Wilson’s exhibition retells a visual story of events and folklore inspired by the life and times of Kate Kelly, re-interpreted by the artist to include a collection of portraits and event based imagery based on photos and extensive research conducted since 2010.

This travelling exhibition has been on display across NSW and Victoria and for a short time will be on display at the Parkes Shire Library in conjunction with Rebecca’s research story cards and art book of the same title.

Further information will be available closer to each event. Visit our event calendar for event details or contact the Parkes Shire Library on 02 6861 2309.
