Water Main Renewal – Lower Clarinda Street

Council crews will be carrying our water main renewal works along lower Clarinda Street throughout July and August 2019, in preparation for the Parkes Main Street Revitalisation Project.

Lower Clarinda Street (east)

Work on the eastern side of Clarinda Street, from Griffins Leading Edge to Browne Street, will commence on Monday 8 July 2019 until Friday 2 August 2019, weather permitting.

During this time, the footpath and the kerbside will be partially closed.

The work will be carried out in stages to reduce the impact on businesses, pedestrians and motorists as much as possible.

Lower Clarinda Street (west)

From early August, work to remove and replace the water main on the western side of lower Clarinda Street will commence from the Town Square (cnr Welcome, Court and Clarinda Street) to 216 Clarinda Street (old Dwyer's Butchery).

Temporary footpath closures will be in place intermittently to allow for the work to be undertaken.

For further information, please contact Water Supply Supervisor, Doug Miller on 02 6861 2343.
