SES Lachlan Region

State Emergency Service units are based at Parkes, Peak Hill and Trundle.

NSW State Emergency Service (SES) is an emergency and rescue service dedicated to assisting the community. The SES is a volunteer-based organisation that provides emergency assistance to the people of NSW 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

While their major responsibilities are for flood and storm emergencies, NSW SES also provides general rescue efforts for road accidents vertical rescue and bush search and rescue.

Volunteers in a number of isolated communities have been trained as Community First Responders by the Ambulance Service of NSW. These trained rescuers also support the full-time emergency services during major disasters.

Parkes Shire Council supports three (3) State Emergency Service Units located at Parkes, Peak Hill and Trundle.

If you require assistance due to flood, storm and tsunami emergencies, please phone NSW SES
