Road Closures

On display until 31 December 2026

Parkes Shire Council wishes to advise of the following current road closures throughout the Parkes Shire.

Unsealed Road Closures

On display until 22 May 2026

Due to current wet weather conditions, all unsealed roads within the Parkes Shire are closed to vehicles over 3 tonnes, with the exception of school buses, emergency vehicles and Council road plant.

Temporary Road Closure - Rose Street, Parkes

On display until 05 July 2026

Parkes Shire Council advises that Rose Street will be temporarily closed to undertake stormwater and sewer works associated with the subdivision of the former hospital site.

Proposed Closure of Council Unformed Road (Parkes)

Submissions closing on 11 June 2026, 05:00 PM

Parkes Shire Council advises that the proposed closure of a section of Council unformed road between Andrew Stewart Road and Emerton Road, Parkes, is now on public exhibition. The proposal, undertaken in accordance with the Roads Act 1993. Community members are invited to review the proposal and provide feedback during the 28-day exhibition period.
