Parkes Shire Council owns a number of aquatic facilities throughout the Parkes Shire, including the Parkes Aquatic Centre and public swimming pools at Peak Hill, Trundle and Tullamore. All facilities have been recently retendered with a local aquatic facilities manager being successful. Fitmann Pty Ltd will be managing and operating Parkes Shire Council pool facilities for a 3-year period including Parkes, and surrounding villages Trundle, Tullamore and Peak Hill.

All facilities are open throughout the summer swim season, which runs from October to March. The Parkes pool opens annually on the long weekend of October (Saturday 4th October) and runs until April. The villages open a month later in November and run until March.
