Permits
Recreational fishing is permitted in all publicly accessible freshwater creeks, rivers and dams in the Parkes Shire, including Lake Endeavour, provided a current NSW fishing licence is held. Separate approval from Parkes Shire Council is not required.

A permit is required to move stock on all public roads in the Parkes Shire (unless an exception applies).
Residents must contact Local Land Services (Forbes or Dubbo office) to obtain a stock permit which authorises stock to be walked across or along a public road.
