$3.48 Million Boost for Early Childhood Services

The Parkes Shire will receive a major boost to early childhood services, with $3.48 million invested to upgrade and expand the Trundle and Peak Hill preschool facilities to better support local families.

Alectown Fire: Crews Work To Contain 950HA Blaze

Parkes Shire Council is today continuing to support NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) efforts following the Alectown fire, which started yesterday after a series of lightning strikes along Kadina Road ignited a tree during a storm event. The quick response of RFS volunteers and support services was key to bringing the fire under control.

Makerspace Open Studio

Come together at this pupose built facility to use our materials and equipment including laser cutters, 3D printer, sewing machines, overlocker and craft supplies. Some material costs may apply.

Temporary Road Closure - 2025 Christmas Street Parade

Council wishes to advise of the temporary road closures on Friday, 5 December 2025 from
5:00 pm to 7:30 pm to conduct the 2025 Annual Christmas Street Parade.

Temporary Closure of Pola Park, Tullamore

On display until 17 December 2025

Please be advised that essential works will be taking place at Pola Park, Tullamore, starting Monday, 8 December.
The works will involve the supply and installation of LED spotlights to support the emergency helicopter landing area. These upgrades are being carried out to improve safety and emergency response capability in the area.
