Notice of works: Bushman and Dalton Streets, Parkes

No longer on display. Expired on 29 July 2023, 12:00 AM

Council wishes to advise that the intersection of Bushman and Dalton Streets Parkes, will be temporarily closed from Monday 13 March 2023 until Friday 28 July 2023 to facilitate the construction of a roundabout.

The delivery phase of the project is expected to span 4 months, subject to weather and foundation conditions. The works will include demolition, stormwater, installation of concrete pavements, kerb and gutter, lighting, and landscaping.

The work will be carried out in a sequence that will allow access to properties as much as possible. Waste collection services will remain as normal during the road closure. As this area will be an active construction site for an extended period residents and businesses are requested to exercise caution, drive slowly, and observe any instructions given by the works team.

If you have any specific needs during the works, please speak to one of Councils staff members on site who will be pleased to assist.

Should you have any queries in relation to these works, please contact Mr Logan Hignett, Executive Manager Operations, on 6861 2344.

This project has been proudly funded by the NSW Government's Targeted Road Safety Program.

Transport for NSW also have a temporary road closure in place at Thomas Street, which impacts the route for heavy vehicles and local traffic during the Bushman and Dalton Streets intersection closure. Thomas Street will be closed to all local traffic during this time. School buses and oversize overmass (OSOM) vehicles will be permitted access during the closure through the guidance of traffic control and an escort vehicle. There will be temporary changes to road priorities during this time, with Middleton Street to give way to Page Street during these works.

We have provided a map to show the location of both the Council works and Parkes Bypass works.
