Notice is hereby given that Parkes Shire Council has received Development Application No: DA2023/0017 from Parkes Shire Council for the proposed development of a Extractive Industry (Quarry) on land known as Lot 1 DP 1146416, Foothills Foothills Lane, Bogan Gate.
Plans and supporting documentation can be viewed below and may also be viewed on Council's website www.parkes.nsw.gov.au for the period 23 March 2023 to 6 April 2023.
Any interested person may, within the aforementioned period, make written submission to the Parkes Shire Council with respect to such proposed development. If your comments are an objection, then the grounds of the objection must be specified.
Any submissions that you with to make on this proposal may be included without alteration (including names and addresses) in reports that are available to the public, in Council business papers (which are published on Council's website) and also made available to the applicant for comment during consideration of the development application. Anonymous submissions may be given less (or no) weight in consideration of the proposal.
Given Parkes Shire Council's interest in the development as the consent authority and applicant for the development application, it is intended that the Development Application will be independently reviewed by a third party and reported directly to a Council Meeting for determination. This will avoid any perception of a potential conflict of interest on Council's part.
