Parkes Shire Council advises that Victoria Street, between Bogan Street and McGees Lane, will be temporarily closed to allow for essential pre-construction works as part of the CBD Flood Mitigation Project, funded under the Resources for Regions Round 9 program.
This initial stage involves the removal and replacement of an aged water main. These works are necessary to prepare for the broader drainage and road upgrades planned for this intersection. All handling and removal of material will be undertaken in accordance with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Closure Details:
- Location: Victoria Street, between Bogan Street and McGees Lane.
- Duration: Thursday, 7 August 2025 to Friday, 8 August 2025 between 7.00am to 5.00pm (weather permitting)
- Impact: A hard road closure will be in place. Pedestrian access will be limited during the works.
