Parkes Shire Council is exited to announce that the Draft Parkes CBD Vibrancy Strategy 2026 is now on public exhibition. Council invites community members to review the Plan and provide their valuable feedback.
The Parkes CBD Vibrancy Strategy is a 10-year plan to guide the future development of the Parkes town centre, with a focus on creating a vibrant, welcoming place for residents, businesses and visitors.
Shaped by extensive community and stakeholder input, the strategy builds on previous work, including the 2016 Vibrancy Strategy, and reflects local aspirations and knowledge. It outlines twelve integrated strategies across four key themes, addressing areas such as recreation, traffic, business growth and urban upgrades. Together, these coordinated actions are designed to strengthen the CBD and support long-term economic and community vitality.
