Draft Operational Plan and Budget

Parkes Shire Council is excited to announce that the Draft Operational Plan and Budget(PDF, 9MB) is now on public exhibition. Council invites community members to review the Plan and provide their valuable feedback. 

The Operational Plan and Budget is a detailed plan produced annually which outlines the specific actions, tasks, and responsibilities needed to achieve the projects set out in the 4-year Delivery Program and the strategic goals found in the Community Strategic Plan. This document provides the specifics on how Council will complete the commitments in the Community Strategic Plan, and act upon those issues that are within its area of responsibility.

The Operational Plan and Budget is a key document for the Councillors and Community. It identifies all of the key activities the Council has committed to undertake over the next financial year and the financial commitment involved. All plans, projects, activities and funding allocations of the Council are directly linked to the Operational Plan and Budget.

We invite you to review the Operational Plan and Budget and provide your feedback during the 28-day public exhibition period. Your input is valuable in helping us shape the future our community aspires to.

Public Exhibition Period: Wednesday 7th May 2025 - Tuesday 3rd June 2025

There are two ways to submit your feedback

When providing feedback, you should indicate if you support the plan and include any suggestions you may have. 

Community members are encouraged to submit their feedback by 5pm Tuesday 3 June 2025.

All feedback received during the exhibition period will be reviewed and presented to Council for consideration before the Plan is formally adopted.
