Neighbourhood liveability means different things to different people – some like it quiet, and others want to be close to lots of choices. That’s what we want to know from you!
Parkes Shire Council has commissioned social research organisation, Place Score, to undertake a Liveability Survey across the LGA. We invite you to share what are the issues that matter most in our local neighbourhoods. Whether it's more shops, jobs, facilities, community events or improving public safety, your voice will help shape Council’s plans to improve liveability for all.
As a rural area, how we think about ‘neighbourhoods’ may be more generous than our more urban neighbours – it’s not just about the suburb you live in but what you can get access to. So please tell us what is important in your ideal ‘neighbouhood’, and how your local suburb and its surrounds are performing for you. If there is something on the list that your suburb doesn’t have access to – but it doesn’t impact you – please use the N/A. If your neighbourhood doesn’t have it – but it is impacting you negatively - then score it as a poor or a fail.
