Parkes Shire Council wishes to advise that the walkway located north of the Parkes Water Treatment Plant will be closed from Monday 5 February 2024 until further notice. A diversion will be in place on the Council-owned land along Webb Street, reconnecting at the Scenic Walking Track north-east of the Water Treatment Plant.
The walkway will be closed for construction works associated with developing a raw water storage lagoon as part of the larger Parkes Water Security Program, which is a strategic water infrastructure initiative aimed at supporting greater water security and reliability within Parkes Shire and the surrounding regions.
