About the review
Parkes Shire Council is creating a Major Events and Festivals Strategy to focus on supporting destination events and increasing the economic and community benefits of events, achieved through a suggested implementation framework.
The strategy's purpose is to strengthen the Shire's capacity to hold, promote, and support major events and festivals within the region, ensuring both our residents and visitors can enjoy what Parkes has to offer. The strategy will highlight Parkes' strengths and identify opportunities to enhance the delivery and promotion of events.
