Due to the current wet conditions, all unsealed roads in the Parkes Shire are closed to vehicles over 3 tonne, except school busses, emergency vehicles and Council road plant.
The restrictions will now be in place until 10:00am Monday 6 May 2024. The situation will be reviewed at this time.
The following roads in the Parkes Shire are CLOSED due to flooding:
- Peak Hill - Tullamore Road (MR348), detour via Mingerong Road and Bogan Road.
- Bogan Road (SR76), detour via Coradgery Road. Closed at Swains Crossing.
- Bruie Plains Road (SR1158)
- Collingwood Lane (SR148)
- Mercadool Lane (SR114)
- Blow Clear Road (SR85)
- Adavale Lane (SR104)
- Boorr Hill Road (SR122)
- The McGrane Way (MR354), closed at Genaren Creek.

Back Trundle Road (SR84)
Please avoid walking or driving through flood waters, it may be deeper and faster flowing than anticipated and/or the road may have suffered extensive damage beneath the water.
The following roads in the Parkes Shire are OPEN with WATER OVER ROAD:
- The Bogan Way (MR350)
- Middle Trundle Road (SR83)
Motorists are advised to use extreme caution when travelling in the wet weather.
The following roads in the Parkes Shire are closed:
- Bushman / Dalton Street Roundabout
- Maguire Road from Bleechmore Road to Newell Highway (part of Parkes Bypass works)
