Activation of Lake Endeavour Locals and visitors will be able to enjoy the beauty of Lake Endeavour when it becomes the first natural water location for recreational use in the Parkes Shire. This exciting development includes safety upgrades and recreational infrastructure, encouraging people to get active in and around the water. Announcement : Installation of the floating safety buoys, and construction of the waterless toilets and the floating walkway are complete. Council is currently undertaking a comprehensive water quality testing program and swimming is not yet encouraged. This testing program is scheduled for completion by summer 2024, in line with the official opening.
