Cr Marg Applebee was elected Deputy Mayor at the Ordinary Council Meeting held 19 September 2023. Cr Applebee has served as Councillor since the 2021 elections and was elected unopposed.
Cr Applebee moved to Parkes in 1989 as a high school student where she completed her secondary education and went on to study at Parkes TAFE.
Cr Applebee has been fortunate to work in areas that she has had a passion for, including working with people with disability and the environment for over 25 years. She has also undertaken training in finance, project management, event management, community engagement and governance.
Cr Applebee has worked part-time for Central West Lachlan Landcare (CWLL) for the past 10 years and is currently Coordinator for CWLL.
