Lake Endeavour Water Pipeline Project
Introduction
The Lake Endeavour water pipeline was damaged during the severe weather and catastrophic floods that affected Central West NSW from September 2022. Under the NSW Government's Central West Water and Wastewater Program (CWWWP), Council is undertaking the reinstatement of the pipeline on a new alignment.
What is being delivered?
The project involves replacing the two existing flood-damaged pipelines with a new single 450 mm water pipeline.
The new pipeline will extend approximately 6.5 kilometres from Lake Endeavour and will be constructed on a new alignment.
The project includes the works required to reinstate the water infrastructure, including:
- detailed design and investigations;
- environmental and planning approvals;
- land access arrangements; procurement;
- construction of the new pipeline;
- and associated reinstatement and commissioning works.
Why is the pipeline being replaced?
The existing dual pipelines were significantly damaged by the 2022 floods.
The project will restore the critical water infrastructure and provide an opportunity to improve the resilience of the pipeline through its new alignment and associated works, where practicable within the approved funding.
Construction and access
Construction activities may require temporary changes to access around the Lake Endeavour site and along the pipeline alignment.
Council will provide information about closures, changed access arrangements and construction activities as the project progresses.
Project funding
The Lake Endeavour Water Pipeline forms part of the $22.9 million in funding from the NSW Government.

Council will provide project updates as key stages of the works are reached.
