Frost & Fire - An Amazing Forbes Event

Celebrate the Winter Solstice at Forbes' much-loved Frost and Fire Festival, returning for its seventh year with an exciting program of live music, cultural performances, food, fire and family-friendly entertainment.

Set against the backdrop of a crisp Central West winter evening, Frost and Fire brings the community together to enjoy hearty food and drinks, spectacular fire performances, bonfires, fireworks and a diverse lineup of local and nationally recognised artists.

This year's program features Australian music icon Diesel, alongside Magnificent 7, Sandee Facy, and local favourites Amitie and Foxxy Cleopatra.

Visitors can also enjoy:

Wiradjuri cultural performances
Evolution Mining effigy bonfires
Fire performers and roving entertainment
Face painting and family activities
Food trucks and local vendors
Fire buckets to keep warm throughout the evening

As a proud sponsor of Frost and Fire 2026, Parkes Shire Council is supporting the event through a range of initiatives, including the provision of a free return bus service between Parkes and Forbes. Demand for the service has been overwhelming, with all seats now fully booked.

Council's Tourism team will also be attending the event, promoting the Parkes Shire and sharing information about local attractions, experiences and the Parkes Elvis Festival, so make sure you pop past and say hi to our friendly staff.
