Sports fields

The bookings and use of the Parkes Shire sporting fields are managed by the Parkes Shire Council. Please note that club rooms and canteen facilities may have fees associated with their use. The Parkes Sports Council can help with disputes where a conflict arises. The sporting facilities of the shire include:

Before You Apply:

Before completing this application, please ensure you have:

• Read the Sporting Fields Conditions of Use(PDF, 117KB) and familiarised yourself with the requirements for field use, including Council's smoke-free sporting grounds regulations.
• Checked the Online Sports Events Calendar for existing bookings and field availability.
• Fees and Charges may apply for the use of sporting fields and facilities.
• Considered whether your event requires assistance from Council's Events Team - more information can be found here. Requests for event support can be lodged through Council's Customer Request Management System.

Important Information:

• Submission of this application does not constitute approval to use a sporting field or facility.
• Applications are assessed by Council and applicants will be notified of the outcome once the assessment process is complete.
• Additional information, documentation, or approvals may be required depending on the nature of the activity or event.

After You Submit:

Once your application has been submitted, you will receive an email notification:

• Application Submission Confirmation – containing a copy of your completed application.

If you do not receive the second email containing your Document ID, please contact Parkes Shire Council to confirm that your application has been successfully received and registered.

Access to Buildings and Amenities:

Please note that access to and use of canteens, change rooms, club rooms and other building amenities are managed separately and are not included as part of a sporting field hire application.

Enquiries regarding access to these facilities should be directed to Council's Facilities Team at engineering@parkes.nsw.gov.au.

An application form is available to hire a sports ground. Applicants must have public liability insurance.
